Microsoft finances start-up against the piracy in BitTorrent

The software giant has invested $ 100,000 in a start-up coaster that is developing a technology to block copyrighted content on file-sharing network BitTorrent.

The system developed by the Russian company, includes a tool called Pirate Pay from own servers that tracks the network and make connections with customers peer networks, confusing their IPs to achieve disconnection.

Klik arrives, new photo app for iOS devices which combines real-time identity of a subject with its Facebook account.

Klik is a new app on Facebook dedicated to face recognition now available on App Store for Apple devices. The operation is fairly simple: just download it, right now in beta so doesn’t ultimately take a picture of friends or relatives and in the meantime note that Klik not immediately identified the contact of the Facebook. If an error occurs, you can always manually select the correct person, so that the app will remember for next time.

The developers explain that Klik works intelligently, learning over time the identity of the subjects that are framed by the camera sensor installed on the iPhone. Of course, to make it work as it should, you must necessarily connect your account, Facebook application, so you can access and analyze the friends list and then proceed to any facial recognition. Apple updates Mac OS X to fix vulnerabilities

Apple has updated their operating systems Lion and Snow Leopard to versions Mac OS X 10.7.4 and Mac OS X 10.6.8 to resolve seven vulnerabilities including a critical FileVault and allowed to display user passwords in plain text.

Apple has taken only three days to publish new versions of Mac OS X principally to resolve vulnerability  for encryption system of FileVault (widely used in business), which activate a debug log file outside the area of encryption, passwords presenting user text, easily visible.

After the beta release of CS6 had a great success, Adobe has put up for sale this new version of Creative Suite. While new versions of Photoshop and more are available, the expected new cloud of the company and subscription services is for purchase only from Friday.

The new system, which was formally unveiled last month, includes fourteen full applications, new or renovated with completely new graphics system that uses GPU acceleration to further editing and processing speed.

G Data: watch out for scams against Booking.com

G Data warns of wave of spam that tries to scam those who are booking a holiday on Booking.com (totally unrelated to fraud).

Book a hotel online can be convenient; it cannot be or can be downright dangerous. The latter option was analyzed by G Data, whose laboratories have discovered a possible scam in which users are likely to fall in search of jobs for their weekend or their holidays.

Google Docs increases fonts, templates and integration

Google continues to improve productivity suite Docs cloud, adding 450 new fonts and 60 templates for use in your documents, and greater integration with cloud storage service Google Drive.

New typographic options included for developers in the Google Web Font, and are available to the user through their ‘add source’ and offer an extensive collection of existing documents to use.
